058.Even If The Memories Remain Poem by Jaden Knight

058.Even If The Memories Remain

Do you remember how it once was
two young lovers on their first date
apparently with a great future
I could sit back and laugh
at what actually happened

So often relationships split
didn't think ours could end
until that day
when you told me
I've found some one better
before slapping me across the face

I know why you wanted a change
pure idle jealousy
not because I couldn't
fulfill your evil fantasies
but because of your greed

Last week I fell and cut my self
on a shard of glass
just watched the blood run down my left arm
decorating the ground
reminding me of the tears I shed

Now I know that you have failed
the pain is temporary
the hurt will eventually fade
even if the memories remain
