060. Every Morning I Awake Poem by Jaden Knight

060. Every Morning I Awake

Every morning I awake
and stumble out of bed
reaching for my armour
to protect me from another day
from all the shit that I receive

What happened to that little boy
that they once kne
who used to draw ships for fun
smiling because he wanted to
thinking the world was kind
then the truth was realized

Hated by those who claimed to love me
abused by those who thought they cared
betrayed by those who claimed they were friends
lying to me when I say they’re wrong
they just pretend that it’s true

Every sun rise it’s the same
it almost never changes
and although the day may feel different
the lies remain unchanged
