1. I Wish I Was Poem by Casual Diamond

1. I Wish I Was

Rating: 5.0

I wish I was
In a town far, far away
Only for nights
To be with her
I would travel
Such great distance
Only for nights
To be with her
But the distance is great
And my legs so wary
I need help now
To show me the way
And that journey
Shall be so treacherous
But my days
Will feel so free
And my friends
Will be the fields
The long hedgerows
That point me the way
Oh to be there
By the sweet ocean
Tis my goal
To sit there and play
And in that town
I've heard it said
There such glories await
For he that goes
But I'll travel no more now
Til I get another drink
Something with ice
As black as ink
I'll be drunk today
And seldom sober
A handsome traveller
From town to town
And when I'm sick
And my days numbered
Come all you young men
Take my crown
