147. The Star Of The Pitch Poem by Jaden Knight

147. The Star Of The Pitch

Rating: 4.5

In the dark winter skies above the pitch
a new star shines bright for all to see
not just in his teammate’s hearts
but in our minds

Chris’s ability was there for all see
he was a very special attacking midfielder
now we are in mourning
we remember his goals

Though we now can’t be with him
enjoying him showing off with his ball skills
we can all show politeness to the opponents
and at least try to follow the example he set

Now Chris has been laid to rest
the memory of his life lives on
sleep well Ginger Ninja
your star shines bright for us all
