-2020- Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

-2020-

Can a forgiving of liars be done.
The ones who meant,
With intentions to do.
And deceived to have their lies believed.
Left to stay this way.
Knowing who has been victimized.
Leaving their lives betrayed.

Can a forgiving of liars,
In the year 2020 that comes be done.
The ones told to know them effective.
And accepted to discredit,
Those once credible with integrities.
Suspected to have created,
False identities.

And who is it that will confess,
Their evil misdeeds.
To have them addressed.
And who is it willing to listen to this,
Knowing they have lived...
To be honest and respectful to others.
Finding themselves changed and caring less,
About anyone else just to be left alone.
With this to discover their own happiness,
They approve with no excuses to condone.

Can a forgiving of liars be done?

"Why not?
Once identified to be who they are,
That should not upset anyone deceived.
That kind of exposure should bring relief,
To all of those who knew them liars anyway.
Although my empathy goes,
To the ones disbelieving...
How willfully they chose to be victimized.
Not to know who they now can believe."
