21 Gun Salute Poem by Awasum Terrence

21 Gun Salute

suitors have come and gone like bees do nectared flowers
seasons after season to see thy Oracle of Delhi solutions
the winds have stood still in amazement at your arts
and the zeal of your heart has gray weeds go green
many times have you dispatched your worriers sword
to the rescue of the oppressed from preying fangs of ill
twenty-one gun salute to you devoted warrior
your toils like heavenly sprinkles have seen earth rejuvenated
keep on illustrious hero, we are behind you
let the springs that sprout from you flow
to pamper soared throats to moisture's tent
keep giving them strength for tomorrow and fuel to rekindle
