247. Darkness Awakened Poem by Jaden Knight

You have awoken a darkness in my soul
one that I never know was there
it has taken over much of my thoughts
and holds negativity at bay

Now it feels like it was always there
just waiting to be released
I'm not sure how it broke out
maybe your love set it free

In the light the darkness grows
with only night to slow its progress
eventually it will take over
turning me into itself

With the darkness I will be changed
although some light will remain
it will be buried until it is required
the day when you no longer need me
