Okay, it hasn't been perfect
I have to tell you so
But I suppose it's normal
For the way that marriages go.
It actually started in 7th grade
In Washington school we were
Same grade, same teacher
Many parts are such a blur.
Marriages, we both had our share
I was a widow for ten years
My boy was 15, soon could drive
Oh wow, I shed a few sad tears.
Years would pass, we would last
Though we had bumps in the road
Sometimes like in most marriages
Got tired of carrying the load.
But here we are,30 years later
We talk a lot and our minds spin
On we go, who knows for how long
But we've lasted 30 years and countin'!
Great information. Great poem Marilyn. May you both go spinning ahead on and on. Long time now I read a poem of yours in PH
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
Very nice, Marilyn. Congratulations.
Thank you, Belle, so much.
