310. Poem by Jaden Knight

310.

I used to wish that I could live forever
now I almost wish that I had not lived
wanted never to go to sleep
today I don't want to wake up

I wanted to forgive the world
of all the sadness and wars
but I can't even forgive myself
for all the hurt I didn't mean to cause

I had smiles and sunbeams written in to my face
my eyes shining bright like two small suns
rain clouds seem over head to much
the rays have dimmed to mere shadows

I used to wish that I could live forever
but maybe would have been best that I had died
then I would not feel this way
and about my life I would not have to lie
