If I asked you to try support me
and be with me until the end
would you do this willingly
because you wish to be my friend

If I asked you to try to understand me
with all my faults and flaws
would you give it your best shot
or just run out the door

If I asked you to hear what I say
to all of my hopes and fears
would you stick around to listen
and lend me for a time your ears

Could you be willing to do these things
I want you to tell be true
would you want to because you care
or just if I asked you to
