#377 All The Riches Of A King Poem by Jimmie Arrington

#377 All The Riches Of A King

Tonight I have the summer breeze.
I have the full moon low and bright.
I have a hundred swaying trees.
I have a million dots of starlight.
I have silver clouds flowing by
I have green grass at my feet.
I have the crickets lullaby
And a night owls rhythmic tweet.
I have the most wondrous view.
I have everything but you.

I have a slow song in my head.
I have the nights refreshing air.
I have a winding road to tread.
I have plenty free time to spare.
I have enough gas in the tank.
I have open roads before me.
I have have memories in my bank
And there is ample room still free.
I have all the riches of a king.
I have it all but I have nothing.
