.4. Power Mad People - Poem by David Threadgold

Power mad people
Admiring themselves
At their leather topped desks
With books on full shelves

Their tailor made suits
With clean shaven face
Shoes highly polished
Each hair all in place

They aspire to move higher
To achieve more promotion
By using their powers
To cause more commotion

When their firms are in turmoil
They change what went bad
To gain their promotion
But they stay power mad
