421. Personal Flags Poem by Jaden Knight

421. Personal Flags

We all have our own flags to identify us
and tell people what we are
each has a unique design
dependant on what we truly are

Some choose not to unfurl theirs
as if ashamed to let them show
they try to use another's pennant
in order to hide who they truly are

My colours fly at the top of the mast
to allow others to see what I am
blue green and red swirl in the wind
dancing in the soft breeze

We all have own own flags to identify us
and let others know who we are
the best way to avoid any misunderstanding
is to let your true colours show
