The day that we got married
All those gifts we got for free
With seven bales of towels
And machines for making tea
We also got some crazy things
A hook to hang banana
This didn’t beat the strangest gift
A tank and large piranha
Each time I tried to feed it
With chunks of bloody liver
It always tried to bite my hand
And always made me shiver
It swam around within its tank
Giving me the evil eye
Until the day it passed away
We knew the reason why
We found a sturdy shoebox
A hole was dug that night
Below my dad’s old apple tree
Where his apples still have bite
