5 Years Poem by Dillon Keuthonymos Crawford

5 Years

5 years
Five years since I have seen you
Five years since I have heard you
Five years since I have had you by me
Five years since i have held your hand
We miss you
You drifted while holding my hand
As the years pass from your parting
The lights are fading
The souls are restless
I sit and think
of everything we have done
of every memory
that we have made
The things that would be given to have you back
Never to have another Great Grandfather
Never to have a Grandfather
Never to hav a Father at that
You were my guilding light
Now that your gone
The light is fading
The blood is spilt
Tears are cried
But the reality is faced
You will never be back

Dedicated to Robert Collins, My Great Grandfather, RIP Poppa.
