6 Feet Under Poem by Christina Ramirez

6 Feet Under

I'm 6 feet under your love
Trying to surface reaching for air
I can feel it against my bare hands
I feel my lungs fill
Can I still breathe or are you breathing for me?
I can feel my love crumble under your strength
The thundering voice echoing against these walls that have enclosed me in this tomb
I can feel my heart breaking away in pieces
Falling slowly in the wind
The air carries it away
Soon I feel as both of us are not breathing
I feel my body carried away
And sooner then expected I find myself
6 feet under
