THE MAN WHO LOVES BOOKS

he did not have
the courage
to tell you
that he is in love
with his books
his body spent
in his readings
his mind lost
in the pages of
a story

but keep in hoping
for fire

may it burn his
library
may it make him
run away from
his books

may he see you again
like the first time

poet Pablo Neruda

I want you to know
one thing.
