79 - Lucky Ones

We are the lucky ones
Lying still in silent lucidity
Crying for those damned
Bleeding & broken by society
I know it's time
To let you know
I know it's time
To let them all go
Let them rest uneasy
Watch them make their own beds
Tossing, turning and shaking
Pulling the nightmare from their heads

I watch them struggle
Without a blink of an eye
Crawling in pain
I watch them die
Watching from the shadows
They turn on the torture rack
Keeping my mind and body safe
Taking it easy i stand well back

Blame it on anyone else
Knowing what the consequences will bring
We are the lucky ones
Getting away with everything
To own up to our sins
It think it might be time
Don't need to think it over
I'm not letting go of mine
