'89 Poem by Bob Axell

'89

I was born once
I weighed but an ounce
But I crouched like a tiger
Awaited my prey to pounce

I saw a mark of wilderness
I sat upon it's edge
Studied the sun arrising
Over our green grown hedge

I crawled over landscapes
And climbed till I fell
I did not know bout heaven
I wasn't scared of hell

So many sentances to say
But not words to them tell
Then I grow up
And to my childhood say farewell

Now I slowly grow wise
Everyday to my demise
For the day I know it all
I spend my future life.
