'911 To Jesus' Poem by Fawole Immanuel Taiwo

'911 To Jesus'

The wails of little children now fill the air.
The laughter of kids is what we no longer hear.
Who bears the handkerchief to wipe the tears of this children?
If no one does then;
Should we not rather give Jesus a 911 call
To liberate all.
.
Nations now challenge each others vigour in conflagration
Due to some people's disputation.
All to the plebeian's detriment.
The fertility of country's arsenal now determines their universal rank placement.
Isn't it time for 911 to Jesus
To still peace for us?
.
Altercation upon altercations
Does rise gets to religious convictions.
Tesbih against rosary.
All teachings but contrary.
Should we not rather give Jesus a 911 call
To liberate all.
.
Rivers today flow with fear,
Mouth halts to grin while eyes tear
And hip stops swaying to the sound of music.
To preserve tranquility; who shall we seek?
Isn't it time for 911 to Jesus
To still peace for us?
