978 Love So True Poem by V F

978 Love So True

True love is all encompassing,
Beautiful, serene and unconditional.
However, if untended
Does it simply fade into oblivion?

I love you as I never loved another,
At times have not the courage,
To plumb the intensity and depth of my feelings
So oft have you hurt me,
By your thoughtless actions
Uncaringly brushing me away
Much as one would a strand of stray yarn.
You who are my very world
What do I mean to you?
Just a distraction from routine?
Or dare I hope..something more? ..

My moods, joy, happiness and sorrow
Revolve around only you,
When all's fine between us,
I’m on top of the world
When you ignore me
Dark clouds blot out my sunshine
I insist I don’t care but fret and cry
Just nothing seems right

I hardly have you, no more than
A few stolen precious moments
I insist, you may not speak, nor write,
Yet communicate volumes
Through your eyes
The very thought of you pulls at my heart,
My emotions become a hot vortex
Whirling me till I turn faint,

Your tender loving look
Melts my insides, turning me supine
Making me crave your affection.
Your care and love which I have barely glimpsed,
sustains and nourishes me when in distress.
Cool tropical nights find me burning within
With a passion which delights yet frightens,
Yet our love transcends the physical
That is why I feel I have waited eons
So what is one more lifetime?

Why do I feel you are mine
You were meant to be mine
Like from lives past we have been denied
No more, this is the last time
In the next you will be only mine.
