In the beginning
My head said run
A battle of love
And my heart won

So many times
I'd lost the fight
My heart kept saying
This time was right

Mind over matter
My heart wouldn't see
I just knew for sure
Another heartache would be

Medals of honor
My heart received
All because
In you I believed
