A Bear Poem by Vera Sidhwa

A Bear

Oh teddy,
I cuddle you,
I look for the softness in you.
My cuddling makes you soft,
On my sofa cushion.
I sit with you on my lap.

Oh bear,
I meet you in the forest.
I see all your huge fur,
And large, sharp teeth,
In your big mouth.

And I run the other way.
