A Beginning Poem by Christy burke

A Beginning

Why am I unwanted,
Hated by most.
I shall not know.

Why am I embarrassed,
My life, secret from the world.
I shall not know.

Why am I small,
Quiet, hidden from most.
I shall not know.

Why do most date for one thing,
Breaking hearts left and right.
I shall not know.

But there's one,
That's so close.
Why is that so?

Why does he care so,
Trying so hard to make me happy.
I'm trying to know.

Why am I loved,
Can one person change my world?
I am finding out.

I am happy,
I am loved.
I shall know.

My life, blooming,
Into a world of unknown.
What shall I see?

Who will I see,
How will I know?
My life blooming.

The past is the past,
And this is the present.
Why not live it while you can?

why not live,
Full and happy.
I shall live.

Glowing like the sun,
On a hot summer's day.
I do know.

I'm blooming,
Growing into something new.
I do know.

I know I am loved,
I am wanted.
I am embarrassed no more.

Taking advantage of every moment,
Seeing what there is to see.
A world so beginning.
