A Bird In A Cage Poem by Ndina Kamaro Muofhe

A Bird In A Cage

Just another bird born in a cage
Freedom it seeks, even in this rage
Chained to bars named 'lesser wage'
Wings clipped by egoful racial gauge
Attempting to fly but defeated by siblings' hate
In it, not in holy phantoms, lies the might
That shall deliver it from the plight

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Freedom lies within. No one will give you freedom but yourself. The biggest prison is the mind.

Freedom it seeks; but, it faces rage! Nice work.
