A Blackened Mind Poem by Shannon Walker

A Blackened Mind

Rating: 5.0

The way algae floats
Across a blackened pond
Is as clouds
Across a blackened sky,
As a pen
Across a piece of pale virgin paper,
The surface;
Darker with every stroke,
And the light,
Dimming in the writers eyes,
Is only the reflection
In the water
Of a distant headlight
Passing by.

Algae floats across a blackened pond like the dark cloud floats in sky. In water distanced headlight is passing by. An amazing imagery is drawn about writing. Beautifully penned poem is shared.10

Interesting analogy: floating along with the nasty green surface stuff and light reflections, when all the really good stuff is clearly at the bottom. What, I wonder, would it cost us to really get wet? Scary stuff when you're in over your head: It's sink or swim.
