A Bleeding Heart Poem by Antonio Williams

A Bleeding Heart

oh, what a dark time!
how a bleeding heart aches
how it beats so slowly
but strongly shakes to the core
who can contemplate the pain?
its smile touches not the eyes
but lingers slightly to hide the hurt
whoever can light such kind of a soul?
who can behold such and not care?
a bleeding heart feels deep within,
and embraces the hurt
