A Child I Am Poem by Chris Townsend

A Child I Am

Surrendering to these thoughts,
All these sensations, deep in a crevase in my heart,
I have felt the pain of a sincerest wish,
Served upon me, silver plattered dish,
My experience my time all for that I care,
My heart keeps beating, for all that I fear,
How can you experience bravery if all you have seen is brave,
Reflection is a picture deep in your mind, data to be saved,
So when you stand alone in a croud,
When you whisper, when everyone else is loud,
You stand a man amongst child,
You stand a caged animal, alone in the wild,
So be there as you are, stand up for yourself,
Take this cluttered liabrary, dust off the shelf,
