A Child Of The King (Evolving Poetry) Poem by Catherine Lindsey

A Child Of The King (Evolving Poetry)

I can be anywhere I want to be,
See through any eyes I want to see,
I can dance in the heavens and vibrate
And blossom and unfold,
And blossom and unfold
Like any flower.
I am a child of the King.

I can bring you divine intelligence,
And breathe peace into your soul,
I can blow you kisses of stardust,
And tell you what you should know,
You are a child of the King. (1983)

I can be anywhere you’ll find a me,
See through any eyes that belong to me,
I can sit poised and cushioned in my space and time,
And see through other eyes,
Other me’s,
Other times.

I can ride the times and hear the Century Bell toll,
Keeping my eye on the sparrow,
And futures yet to unfold.
Eternal...
Makes me dizzy with implications. (1997)
