A Combat Between Salt And Steeped Rice Poem by Madhabi Banerjee

A Combat Between Salt And Steeped Rice

Combat between salt and steeped rice
Madhabi Banerjee

At peace with concrete shadow of Banyan tree and Lovely as eye ball
Yes it is my nation, my mother land, my native land.
I have a native land but no room
I have eyes but no look
I have backbone but no heart
Blue sky with white wrapper of clouds over my head
Only before me small cracked piece of land
Cunning eagles break necessary cover
Yet I have dreamt a good dream of oasis.
When we will get smell of blossom.
But mother is ill yet
No sign to recover
There are scarcities all around
There is combat between salt and steeped rice everyday
That sometime dragged us
And sometime pursue us to go ahead
Grazing at the sun sitting before an image
To attain an object.

Amusing poem, though it is difficult to read when the space between the words are missing but I admire your writing skills. Wishing u a very happy and prosperous Year 2019....
