A Common Link Poem by Francis Duggan

A Common Link

Rating: 5.0

They have a common link which is easy for to understand
Religion, race, culture and politics and land
They are linked to war on some sort of a way
A fact from the past remains a fact of today
Add to those Mother Earth's assets that are to be found
Under the deep ocean or on dry land deep underground
In fact every war has it's sources in human prejudices, mistrust and greed
In the desire for ultimate power megalomaniac leaders who sow the seed
That leads to hatred and war and years of mistrust
Those who talk of a just war does insult the word just
Since far too many people in so called just wars have needlessly died
So much indeed for nationalism and love of flag of country and patriotic pride
They are linked to war which is not hard to understand
Religion, race, culture and politics and land.

Religion, race, culture and politics and life all should have a common link into Earth and nature. No one likes war. We all should live peacefully. This is a nice poem beautifully shared.10
