A Conflict Of Interests? Poem by Ayokunle Adeleye

A Conflict Of Interests?

Right to freedom of choice
Is what gives us voice
And right to freedom of decision
Encourages our pursuit of vision

To say 'Yes'
To say 'No'
To give less
To stoop low

Setting boundaries
Choosing favourites
Privacy and diaries
All these are our rights

Yet we owe it to friends
To go the extra mile
For tender friendship it tends
When we swallow bile

When we bend our rules
When we lend our tools
When we burn our Joules
When we become fools

Friendship is driven
When the other's rights are respected
And to whom much is given
Much is expected to be expected.
