A Day At The Beach Poem by Ray Hansell

A Day At The Beach

The shining sun always
Makes me think of you
All the wonderful things
On a sunny day to do

Like walking along
A sandy beach
As the waves roll in
We're just beyond their reach

Or sitting on some rocks
Accompanied by some birds
As they sing their songs
Flapping of wings are heard

Or stop by the ice cream truck
For a cold sweet desert
Being very careful
Not to let it drip on my shirt

Take a stroll along the boardwalk
For a hotdog and some fries
Because they are my weakness
That, I cannot deny

Or just sit and watch the waves
As they tumble toward the shore
A lovely way to spend a summer day
With you I don't need no more
