A Diamond Ring Poem by lustyfashion trend

A Diamond Ring

Torn love letters,
dusty birthday cards,
and a diamond ring,
i have stored everything in an old suiting,
time went by and ran like a lunatic horse,
everything changed around me and inside me,
what never changed ever is the diamond ring, on a rainy day,
beneath an oak tree,
i remember every moment of that romantic spree,
your holding my hands and kissing my forehead, and
handing over me an envelope in red,
you smiled looking into my eyes,
you said you would love me forever,
how would life turn out we never knew,
i opened envelop to see inside,
What i saw?

a diamond ring,
oh it glowed and blinged,
now after 12years after our breakup,
nothing left between us,
all words are lost in the air,
all promises are broken,
all dreams are shattered,
we have grown older now,
i am shortsighted and feeble,
the only thing shines in my eyes is that tiny rock,
the little sparkly piece,
the tiny sign of forbidden love,
my beloved diamond ring.
