A Dignity



While they were stepping forward
bulldozing grass roots and crops,
I was processing inner task
towards ancient enlightenment.

As they search for what we'd lament
'neath all sorts of nukes we bask;
in and out of the crowd of cops
we'd be stunned for years afterward...
