A Double Being Poem by Claire Hunter

A Double Being

Rating: 5.0

She rests on her knees
And the wind flows around her
Tendrils of silky hair
Run through her pale fingers

She calls deep into her soul
Looking for the ancient blood of her people
A shimmering flash... and then
A change

She is a wolf running through the woods
Baying at the moon
Her pack mates
Always by her side

She changes
And is with her human family
Knowing she is a wolf
And a person

Always both
Never just one

Although I'm pretty anti-Twllight (the part about the tranformation just reminds me) this poem captures a unique image, all in all a great poem 9/10

I love the way the poem unfolds, you captured the life of a wolf and a human at the same time. Great work!
