A Dream Poem by Scarlet Shay

I scream in mental pain
A shock is running through my brain
It circles around 
Over and over again
As my scream becomes nothing
I curl into a ball
Pulling out my hair
Tearing up my eyes
My nails dig straight into my skin
And I let them go deeper and deeper in
I bite my lip 
And seize from this mental pain
But then it all stops...



What happened?  
I had a dream about you

It was us
Just like our old times
You arms wrapping around me tight
As I inhale your cologne 
So I can smell it every night
I look into your deep brown eyes
And my heart melts and becomes dry
I fall into you
And you kiss my cheek
I turn to give you a kiss
Only an inch away
Then I wake
It was only a dream
But I wanted one last kiss
That's the only thing
