A Dream Before Your Dream Poem by Sandile mngadi.

A Dream Before Your Dream

Zama Anna
I am your husband, don’t turn your back on me
Zama Anna I am talking to you
I saw her pack all her cloth out of anger
She walked out the door with tears saying my wrongs
Zama Anna come back home
She walked and closed the door behind her
Silence in my home, my wife was gone

Zama Anna
Phoning her, with hope that she will pick up
Zinhle Zola
Can I kindly speak to my wife?
You are a bad husband, how you could treat our sister like that?
She left her home to be with you
What for? so you can make her go to bed with tears
Thanks lord, she saw right thru you and left
I hope she finds someone better they dropped the phone on my ear

Days, Months went by
Zama Anna never came
With questions in my mind, family behind
Zama Anna came begging
With all she had
She said she loves me and have confession to make
Sandile Baba I cheated
I thought I was in love and left you
At my realization it was not worth me leaving
The man I thought he was, was far less the man you are.
Sat and watched my marriage life turn to a soapie
Zama Anna turn to be the main character
I the hero to her mistakes and falls

Zama Anna I want a Divorce
The love you wished for I lived while you were gone
Zama Anna now I am free
The wrongs you saw from me with your audience have been corrected
I am free to know, even though I failed you somewhere
You failed me worse by leaving
I am leaving you now.

Zama Anna Good bye
