A Dystopian Dream Poem by Kevin Familia

A Dystopian Dream

Rating: 3.7

A dystopian dream
Why do some go into this dam?
I saw the dam that lies, clogging up truths

A barricade between hope and despair.
I went feeling the agony of a rapid river.
I went to this place of evil terror, feeling like a dreader.
Why a hopeless dream, that I tremble in fear of its wrath!

A vacation to the rich, a prison to youth!
Oh hopeless dream your deceits are in filth!
I went inside you and saw nothing but oppression
I saw many unhappy, some hopeless in your deception!

A future some foolishly hope for, blind in their sight!
But to there dismay I saw a light on sight
I saw ways to stop authority from destroying truths
The truth I saw was individual rights gaining its strength

I saw the good will of people, democracy, spoken truths
Overthrow this dystopian dream of filths.
