A Fall From July Poem by Mahlubandile Phillips

A Fall From July

A race to whom would
first
A toast to July we fell
in love

Hearts pounded so fast
he let the moment pass
sorrow regret fellings
he never confessed
to a dear friend

Two months gone she
lingers inside his head

Dreams and wishes he could
never seize
now drifts along winds
a bond torn apart time took it's toll
Bonds of July fall
two hearts dance in
rain only one stays
and one fades.
