A Far Worse Thing Than A Grub Poem by Francis Duggan

A Far Worse Thing Than A Grub

Rating: 1.5

You could be called a far worse thing than a grub
I've heard worse things called to others in the local pub
By men who had far too much alcohol to drink
Who uttered their jumbled words faster than they could think
When referring to another person the word grub is a term of abuse
But a grub in reality is of great use
To a hungry bird or animal for to eat
Maybe just an appetizer but quite a tasty treat
To very hurt feelings words are often the fuel
And some people with their words can be very cruel
Those who to others disrespect in their words show
The seeds of bad karma for themselves do sow
And to hear someone called a worse thing than a grub
You need not go further than your local pub.
