A Ferocious Dream
A ferocious dream
Sparked by imagination
Harboured by a desire
Never to be fulfilled
Lost in a trance
Dazzled by sweet lies
Reaching out to grasp
Wisps of the insubstantial
Dutifully attempting
To fill up the hollow emptiness
Like a persistent thirst
Never to be quenched
But in desperation
And the betrayal of wisdom
Only to poison oneself
By deeds of blindness
