A Flight Of Butterflies

A flight of butterflies transform
and as azalea blooms alight
Soon they long for freedom
and in a scented wind take flight.

But it is that longing to take flight before they are ready that makes them so vulnerable. A caterpillars creepy crawling doesn't scare off the birds of prey. It's a struggle for living creatures large and small. Natures balance, with mouths to feed off of pure instinct. (Report) Reply

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
