When a flower blooms in the garden
Bees rush to it to take essence and honey
Sitting on the petals they swing and play
When the wind blows and it is sunny
When the flower lives through the day
It spreads its fragrance far and wide
It is strewn into a garland for the Lord
It hangs from the hairs of a young bride
When evening falls slowly across lands
The flower closes its petals and go to sleep
In the darkness of night it loses its glory
Silently remembering the day it does weep
A day in the life of a flower has been portrayed beautifully. Its emotional appeal stays with the reader long after he has read the poem. Thanks.
Reality in life, very aptly depicted using a true naura event as a simile. Thanks for the philosophical poem.
