A Flower For Your Heart

Cloudy skies close around you
On just a winter day
And the weight seems too heavy
To carry all the way
When you feel you are drowning
Because the water is too dark
Read this poem about you
A flower for you heart

I know it's hard to smile
To carry all the load
It seems you walked for miles
A long and twisted road
But soon you will be happy
I know because I've seen
Such great determination
In you, my sweet Eileen

Remember spring is coming
The dawn of something new
The air is so much lighter
Sweet springtime morning dew
You lie in beds of flowers
Feel grateful for the day
You realize someone's with you
Beside you on the way

Your arms are stretched wide open
Your head is tilted back
You have a new found spirit
A time from somewhere back
The feeling of excitement
When girls go out and play
Has always been there for you
Just look to find the way

It seems we all stop seeing
The littles things in life
Pulled down by all our worries
Pulled in by all our strife
But if you need reminding
And want to know your part
Read this poem about you
A flower for your heart

O World! O Life! O Time!
On whose last steps I climb,
Trembling at that where I had stood before;
When will return the glory of your prime?
No more -Oh, never more!
