A Free Mind....... Poem by RIC BASTASA

at the beach today
it rains, and the waves
are bigger than usual,
and i sit on the shore
like a yogi, listening
to the murmurs of the foams,

there is no music to all
these, as i feel the rage,
of the sea, and i stay there
for a while, lay my body,
and listen some more, and

i become rooted to the sand
as the waters seem to dig
a place for me, my bottoms
feeling the pebbles and
the slipping of the sands
in the surging water,

there is so much anger
here, and i am trying to
listen, as i finally dissipate
what is truly inside me.

my roots are shallow,
in the world of salt and
not honey, my hands are
helpless, my mind so free.
