A Friend Poem by Wayne Albert Smith Sr.

A Friend

It is a great blessing to experience good conversation from day to day.
How exciting to know that His Kingdom has grown while evil is held a bay.
When kind spirits have been joined and brought together
To converse, to love and share in good times and in bad weather

When friends share in the joys and happiness of life
To help each other to expand in wisdom and ward off strife
With whispers of a kind melodious word
Brightens the day for anyone who has heard

Life is but a shadow, a mist, and a cloud so short, so brief
So let new associations bring us smiles, joy and relief.
May the meeting of like minds never cease and caring never end.
For it is a privilege and an honor to call another a friend.
