A Friend Betrayed Poem by Walter C. Edwards

A Friend Betrayed

Rating: 5.0

A wandering soul,
lost and lonely,
comes out of the past,
and pleads to befriend you,
and you do,
she tells you,
that she has no one to love,
no one cares about her,
you tell her the truth,
but it seems that she does not listen,
to a word you say,
that you are married,
and will not betray,
the one you care for,
so time passes,
and she finds love again,
then she just say's good bye,
one day, a friend betrayed.
