A Friendly Goodbye Poem by Ray Hansell

A Friendly Goodbye

Rating: 5.0

I wish we could have found
A way to give love a try
Now all there are are memories
From that day we said goodbye

We sat there for hours
Watching the stars and holding hands
Talking with each other
Trying hard to understand

We both thought we had found
What we both been looking for
But it seems the more we gave
The less we felt secure

So, we had that final meeting
Than we parted friends
I guess it was a positive way
For love to come to an end
