A Girl Of Concealment Poem by Casual Diamond

A Girl Of Concealment

Rating: 5.0

Why are you fearful, can't you see that it's you
It ain't somebody else's life, but a reflection of you
Why shy away from bright lights, keeping out of sight?
Don't live up to someone else's ideals
There's more within you than you first feel

Don't keep it hidden (just like everyone)
Too scary to show you care (makes you vulnerable)
Don't wear that pretence for disguise
There's no need ('cos it's all we've known)
There's more within you, than you first showed

So keep on walking down never ending streets
(One day you'll walk right out of your life!)
Wondering why you didn't try
To spread some loving all around
(Old fashioned causes like that still apply)

How do you feel at the end of your day
Just like you've walked over your own grave?
So why be frightened
Because it's only you can choose
Nothing at the moment
So nothing to lose.

Poignancy abounds from your pen CD - makes you think and ponder awhile. HG: -) xx
